Re-Defining HOSPITALITY STANDARDS

Re-defining booking experience for a hospitality brand.

Treebo, an India-based hospital brand with over 20k properties in major cities, is revamping its website to enhance the user experience for property booking. We're upgrading existing features and introducing new ones for a simpler process. This redesign aims to give our platform a fresh visual style, blending elegance with functionality in every interaction. As the product design lead, I've been involved from inception to execution.

Objectives

Enhancing the Booking Experience: Revolutionizing the booking journey involved meticulous attention to detail, integrating enticing property cards featuring unbeatable deals and employing psychological triggers for user engagement. We restructured property cards for enhanced data consumption efficiency, coupled with improved imagery organization and navigation options.

Optimizing Navigation and Content Flow: To streamline user interaction, we meticulously optimized scroll performance and restructured content presentation for aesthetic appeal on both search and property detail pages. We ensured content hierarchy integrity on property detail widgets and maintained consistent font sizes across the website.

Introducing Innovative Features: We introduced captivating new features, including dedicated offer sections on the homepage, compelling testimonial segments, and informative blogs. Moreover, we expanded room selection options on property detail pages and integrated a map view feature for property search and exploration of nearby attractions

Evolving Visual Identity:  A comprehensive visual redesign journey involved revisiting every aspect of the user experience, elevating it to meet industry benchmarks. We meticulously crafted a design component library from scratch to uphold visual consistency across all touchpoints.

My Role

As the lead designer, I spearheaded collaboration efforts with key stakeholders including leaders, project managers, and the development team. Our journey began with an extensive discovery phase, encompassing heuristic and competitive analysis, user flow mapping, wireframing, and visual design exploration

Research

During the research phase, I conducted both heuristic and competitive analyses to evaluate our product's usability and market positioning. The heuristic analysis identified key usability strengths and weaknesses, guiding our design decisions. Simultaneously, the competitive analysis provided insights into competing products, helping refine our own strategy and enhance user experience.

Mapping it down

With a clear understanding of our project's needs, we crafted empathy maps for our personas to delve into their motivations. These insights informed our user stories, ensuring comprehensive requirement capture. Subsequently, we designed the information architecture to lay a solid foundation for the user experience.

Wireframes

We began by crafting detailed wireframes to map out the layout and functionality of the website. These wireframes served as a blueprint for the user experience, allowing us to iterate and refine our ideas before moving forward with development.

The visual Direction

After finalizing the wireframes, we transitioned to the visual design phase, where we brought our concepts to life with engaging aesthetics and intuitive interfaces. Drawing inspiration from modern design trends and user preferences, we carefully crafted the visual elements to resonate with our target audience. This involved selecting a harmonious color palette, choosing appropriate typography for readability and branding, and creating visually appealing layouts that prioritize ease of use.

We also paid close attention to the imagery used throughout the website, selecting high-quality photos and graphics that complemented the overall design aesthetic and showcased the properties in their best light. Additionally, we ensured consistency across all pages to maintain a cohesive user experience.

Throughout the visual design process, we remained mindful of accessibility standards, ensuring that our designs were inclusive and usable by all individuals, regardless of their abilities or devices. This attention to detail not only enhances the overall user experience but also reflects our commitment to creating a website that is both visually stunning and functional.

Conclusion

In conclusion, as a senior designer leading this omnichannel website redesign project, I've gained invaluable insights into the intersection of user experience, functionality, and visual aesthetics. Throughout this journey, I've learned the importance of seamless integration across various platforms and devices to ensure a cohesive user experience.

Moreover, I've discovered the significance of collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, from developers to marketers, in bringing our vision to life. By leveraging cutting-edge design principles and technology, we've not only revamped our platform but also set a new standard for excellence in the realm of property booking.

As we move forward, I'm excited to continue refining and optimizing our design to meet the evolving needs of our users, always striving for innovation and excellence. This project has been a testament to the power of creativity, collaboration, and commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences
